Reflection
Fruit is not manufactured — it is grown. An apple tree does not strain to produce apples; it simply stays rooted and receives. The fruit of the Spirit is the natural outflow of a life rooted in Christ. You do not become loving by trying harder to be loving; you abide in the Vine and His life produces the fruit. Notice it is one fruit with nine flavours — the Spirit's character, developing in you. Stay close to Jesus, and the fruit will follow.
Prayer
Holy Spirit, produce Your fruit in my life. Grow love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control in me. Amen.
